Our team of educators understand that this is not just a one-time workshop situation. It is a process that needs ongoing support for the teachers in the classroom.
Since we utilize reading and writing project in our own classrooms, we understand the challenges and initial frustrations. We have the experience and the resources to guide teachers and administrators forward with momentum and confidence. Once we have introduced you to the program, we are here to support you through the process.
Currently we are working throughout California public, private and independent schools. We encourage you to read some of the ways we are working with our current clients.

We followed by sessions on Balanced Literacy including; interactive read alouds, grand conversations, shared reading, language wall, and shared writing. We worked on lesson study and coaching teachers in their own classrooms. Currently we are also training a group of "District Coaches" who support classroom teachers.
For the past three years we have implemented a comprehensive balanced literacy program including Writing and Reading Workshop and CGI (Cognitive Guided Instruction).

During our four years of work with Piner Olivet, our focus has been in Writing Workshop. We provided three initial days focusing on the workshop hour, conferencing on day two and unpacked their writing units on day three. During the following years, we provided lesson study for each school site. As teachers progressed, we provided informational and opinion/argumentative "make and take" days where we walked teachers through the process as they made models for teaching/conferencing.
